The UKCA, established in Limassol for many years, became a Limited company in 2004. It is a company limited by Guarantee and not for profit and aims to provide social amenities and activities for its members. Fund raising events throughout the year enable the association to maintain it's premises and to make donations to local charities at the end of the year. The club is managed by a Board of non-paid Directors who meet monthly. Membership is open to all British Citizens. Non British spouses and partners join as Associate members. There is no joining fee. The annual membership fee is €40 which includes €3 towards the building fund. Fees reduce by 10 Euros per quarter if joining later in the year. All fees are per member and inclusive of VAT. The clubhouse, located at 37 Thermopylon Street, has an air conditioned bar and separate TV lounge, an air conditioned inside function room and a bright and airy garden room with patio doors that open on to a paved garden area. The club house can be hired for private functions. A much used facility is a well stocked Library containing books, DVD/videos and jigsaw puzzles. Charges can be seen seperately (Main Menu - Library) As well as the regular weekly activities (Main Menu - activities) there is an active Entertainments Group which organises events (Main Menu - Events) throughout the year including dinner dances, musical events, BBQs, lunches, international food evenings, variety shows, charitable events and winery visits.
